How to Train and Restrict Your Dog to Use same Poop Area

As it is not possible to take the pet out doors always to urinate and defecate, it is essential to fix a poop area in the house for your dog’s nature calls. This ensures that the dog does not pee or poop all over the house and spoil your furniture and furnishings. It is only with dedication and patience that you can easily potty train your pet.

Only your commitment will teach the pet where to pee and poop. Remember your pet is slow to learn and may take a long time to learn things. You have to be tolerant and show patience in case of accidents and mistakes of your pet.

Closely observe the signals of your pet indicating its desire to relieve itself. They become restless, sniff and scratch the ground or door at such times guide your pet to the poop area. See to it that your pet gets used to this process of urinating and defecating at the appropriate place.

Dogs usually poop early in the morning, after meals, and exercise. You should take the dog to his poop area at such times. Before going to bed, the dog may be guided to relieve itself.

Praise the dog if it obeys you does things correctly. If any mistake is done accidentally, say that he has done the mistake thrice in a commanding tone, then clean the mess created by him. Later bring the dog to his poop area and sow him the appropriate place to do such thing. Physical punishment and anger will not serve any purpose in such matters. The dog will be confused and become more anxious prolonging the training schedule.

Repeat the process many times for the dog to know the right way and place to eliminate his body wastes. Positive reinforcement will surely bring in effective potty training of your dog and render your house stink free.
