How to Train Your Dog with Least number of Training Equipment

Training is the best thing that you can give your dog and it is also a pleasurable experience to have a well-trained dog. Dogs do not have any natural instinct to learn good behaviors on its own and hence that will necessitate you to impart your dog with a good behavioral training so as to make your dog a well behaved one.

Normally dogs are trained with voice commands, more preferably by their masters and you can train your dog for effective guarding, herding, tracking, hunting and even retrieving. Further, you can also teach your dog certain behavioral aspects such as sitting, lying down, stop barking etc., with appropriate commands so that you can consider having your dog as a companion for your lifetime.

Teach your Dog

As said earlier, dogs do not possess any inborn quality to learn obedience on its own and hence that will necessitate your intervention to impart a training to teach your dog the requisite obedience. In order to training your dog, you need to necessarily communicate with it, more preferably with voice commands and when you know how to reward your pet on its accomplishing your commands, your dog training can turn out to be fun and easy.

In case of any disobedience, you should not immediately jump to punish your dog, but instead try other methods to correct it, as any punishing may adversely affect your dog’s behaviour adversely. Besides the various commands, there are also many equipment and tools that can be made use of in dog training and we will see few of them now.

The simplest and most useful dog training equipment is the collar. Dog training collar should be made worn by your pet and once your dog gets accustomed with it you can start using it for leashing and leading your dog out for walk. Here you should note to leash your dog with a chain or a strap only after your dog gets accustomed to the collar because any immediate leashing can make your dog feel intruded in its freedom and may get aggressive and fail to respond to your commands.

To start with you can leave the leash or the chain from your hold and let the dog roam with this collar and the leash for some time. At some point of time your dog will begin to understand that these two equipment are not to make any harm to him and after this even if you hold the chain or leash, your dog will not pull you away. You may be aware that dogs are basically claustrophobic and hence they never stand to get confined in a closed place and hence you should allow proper time for your dog to get used to the new collar and the leash.

The next very simple yet an useful dog training equipment is the clicker which is nothing but a toy-like device to make a click noise and this could be used both for praising and reprimanding your dog.

The sound that emanates from the clicker will be very distinct and can really replace your otherwise feeble voice and you can find your dog responding to the click sound more readily and positively. Initially to make your dog respond to the click sound, you can reward your dog with some treats and once your dog associate the click sound with that of its treat then you have achieved success in your first dog training step.

Though there are many more such dog training equipment, what you have seen above is only the simple and the barest minimum required set to get your dog trained easy and with fun.
